THURSDAY NIGHT FELONY and
SO MUCH FOR “TANKING FOR TUA”
I’ve watched a lot of football and I’ve seen some outrageous behavior on the field, but I’ve never seen an assault with an opposing player’s own helmet to the head! I’m certain that if that attack by Myles Garrett upon Mason Rudolph took place in Pittsburgh, Garrett would have been charged with felony assault. Shortly after it was announced that he would receive an indefinite suspension Garrett was complaining that the penalty was too harsh. He’s lucky he didn’t seriously injure Rudolph or worse; especially in light of the fact that Rudolph just recently suffered a concussion. Just another reason to dislike the Browns, not that I needed one.
With Bama QB Tua Tagovailoa suffering the same injury that ended Bo Jackson’s career, and undergoing his third surgery while still in college, the “Tanking for Tua” is now a defunct proposition. Not to mention that LSU quarterback has jumped to the front of the pack in most rankings. Tua’s injury has also sparked all the chatter about college athletes’ needing to be paid for their services.
The Vikings did something that hadn’t been done in the previous 99 times a team was down by 20 points at the half,…. they won 27-23 versus the Broncos to improve to 8-3. As we get into late November the playoff picture is starting to take shape and the Vikes are definitely in the picture. It’s now that speculation on how teams will do with their remaining 5 or 6 games and where they might finish in their division. Only the Pats, Ravens and Saints appear to have a firm grasp on their respective divisions, with all the rest still up for grabs.
Monday Night Football was actually exciting even though Rivers threw 4 INTs to go with the 3 he threw the week before. Add to that poor play calling down the stretch and the Bolts almost tied it up at the end. The game had OT written all over it, until Rivers capped his horrible outing with his fourth pick. Stick a fork in the Chargers.
As we look to add value to our site, we are exploring who we want to refer you to for your betting needs. In the coming weeks we will start to add links to the betting sites we personally have used and can recommend to help you avoid those we haven’t had a good experience with. These evaluations are based on various factors which we will explain each time we add a link to their sites. As we’ve said before, there are new sites popping up each week and they vary greatly in their ratings. So visit us at TheLineBreakers.com for help making the right picks.
ATS update. There are now only 10 teams that are above 55% ATS which we stated is where you need to be too. The Bucs continue to hold last place with a pathetic record of 2-8 ATS. Jameis Winston tossing another 4 INT’s and dropping his team to a 3-7 record has his head coach wishing he had stayed retired. The Giants, Skins and Bears all suck and are just one game better ATS at 3-7. Well at least the Giants or Bears will improve as these sad sacks play each other Sunday. Look at the ATS records and see where you should be putting your money. Or better yet, visit us at TheLineBreakers.com and get our picks.
