NBA and NHL shaping up

Astros cheating scandal not going away

We took a little longer break than usual with the Professor being sidelined by the flu after attending a Devil’s game.  That what he gets for betting against the home team.

As MLB gets under way the Commissioner’s handling of the Astro’s sign stealing scandal isn’t going away any time soon.  Last week actor Chazz Palminteri, who wrote and starred in “A Bronx Tale” called into the Fan radio station and stated that as an expert on the Mob, the Commish shouldn’t have granted immunity to the whole team.  He stated that no prosecutor would ever grant an entire crime family immunity to find out what crimes they were committing.  He reasoned that you only needed to grant immunity to one or two and you would still find out what crimes were being committed.  Supposedly, the immunity was bargained for with the players union, which apparently didn’t consult with THE PLAYERS!!   MLB supposedly granted immunity to avoid dragging the controversy on with all the grievances that would be filed by the players’ union.  Well, guess what, you failed.

Because if they had, you wouldn’t be having all of the players complaining and expressing their outrage at the Astro’s behavior.  Including virtually every big name in the sport not on the Astro’s or the Red Sox.  Aaron Judge was robbed of the MVP and stated as much, and Giancarlo Stanton said he could have hit 80 home runs instead of 59 if he knew what pitch was coming.  Mike Trout and other stars have all said the championship should be taken away.

As we predicted a few weeks ago there is even an over/under line on how many times an Astro’s player gets plunked.  I believe 89.5 is the number, or roughly one batter hit every other game.  I think after a bunch of times at the start of the season, there will be an edict of immediate ejection for obvious intentional hitting of Astro’s batters.

Regardless, it was absurd for them to not suffer any repercussions for cheating their way to a World Championship and the Commissioner bungled the handling of it only to add to it with later explanations, including calling the Championship just a piece of metal!  With such incompetence, you would think he works for the Mets.

Baseball season totals always a fun bet and when they get posted we will discuss them.  In the meantime, there are actually some people, known as degenerates, who actually be on spring training games.  In fact, one of them is sitting next to me.   How on earth do you bet on a game where the outcome doesn’t matter?  You know you shouldn’t be betting on baseball if the game can end in a tie.

This year we will see the new rule that a relief pitcher must face 3 batters.  I personally don’t like it.  If you really wanted to pick up the pace of play, you make the batters stay in the batter’s box.  The rule is on the books, but not enforced.

NBA:  The Milwaukee Bucks clinched a playoff birth earlier than any team ever.  That’s hard to believe considering some great teams of the past, such as the Bulls with Jordan and some Laker teams and most recently the Golden State Warriors. The Bucks are obviously the favorites to win the title at +230 with the Lakers next closest at +300.  Unlike hockey, one of the best baseball teams usually prevails, so now might be the time to bet.  Now would also be the time to visit us at www.thelinebreakers.com as we continue to add content and then click on Fanduel to check out the futures odds.  Not just for NBA, but NHL also.

By the way, are the Knicks going to suck forever, or is there a chance they have a plan to improve?

NHL:  Has their futures posted as well:  The current favorite to win the Stanley Cup is the Boston Bruins, +650 with the Tampa Bay Lightning at +750.  Coop previously made his pick known as being the Pittsburgh Penguins  @ +1250 (So, $100 gets you $650 and so on.)

We are in the process of compiling a series of videos on the fundamentals of wagering on sports, fantasy contests and casino games.  So, check back soon as they should be posted in the near future.  The initial videos will be an introduction to each type of betting and then get more in depth as they progress.  We are hoping to have some guests on to discuss the areas they know best, like the lady who keeps beating The Professor in fantasy football!!!

Fanduel has all the props you could want and as a Fanduel Affiliate we ask you to visit our site at www.thelinebreakers.com , look around and then click on the Fanduel link to bet on fantasy or the sportsbook.

Finally, a little PSA.  Bet with your head, not over it is the phrase and if you believe you might have a problem, you probably do so call 1-800-GAMBLER

Super Bowl 54 Review of Chiefs’ Stunning Comeback

MLB Cheating Scandal.  Extending Playoffs.

“How To” Betting Videos Coming Soon

XFL, more betting opportunities!

Super Bowl

I know it seems like the Super Bowl was played months ago, but it’s been less than two weeks and we took last week off, so I am going to say a few things about it and then we focus on current matters.

49ers Coach Kyle Shanahan once again blew a big lead late in a Super Bowl, only this time he was the head coach.   Last time he was the Offensive Coordinator of the Atlanta Falcons who blew a 28-3 lead in the middle of the 3rd quarter.   This time the lead was just 20-10, but it was with only 7 minutes left in the game.

He went away from the run and gave up 21 unanswered points to lose 31-20.

We spoke about Prop bets for Super Bowl and we made a few.

Length of National Anthem…Under lock at 1 minutes 50 seconds, Haha.

Mahomes. MVP. Another lock winner.

Chiefs Win.  Lock, but after early scare, again.

Over.  Nope.  Lost that one.

I know The Professor did some live betting and adjustments.

MLB

The cheating scandal continues to dominate MLB talk; especially after the Astros owner claimed this week that it didn’t help them win title in 2017 and later that very same day saying it might have.  And a day later, new minted Yankees pitcher, Gerrit Cole, stated on February 13th that he had no idea there was any cheating going on while he was on the Astros in 2018 and 2019!  Not a great way to start your time with the Yankees, to come out with a blatant lie that will only keep the story going, instead of getting it in the rearview mirror.

The lack of consequences for the teams, players and owners for such blatant cheating is shocking and I believe this scandal will have a chilling effect on the sport and the betting on baseball as well.  The Astros and Red Sox should have lost their World Series titles, been docked many draft picks and been banned from post season.

Mets blow their deal with Steve Cohen by wanting to control team for another 5 years.  Unbelievable, except it’s the Mets.  Few teams have perfected screwing things up as well as the Mets.  The Jets and Knicks are close though.

Extending playoffs to add more teams, good idea?

NBA

NBA hits the All-Star break and like the other major sports, the all-star game has become a snooze fest.  No one cares.  Skills and slam dunk contests are bigger attractions as well as the celebrity  game.

The regular season so far has revealed some really good teams and many more really bad teams.  Golden State is in the toilet.

XFL    When I mentioned to The Professor that the XLF was starting and what he thought about it his response was….”I don’t know, but I’m going to bet on it!”  Spoken like a true degenerate, which by the way he did and got killed.  29-3.

Video Series

The Professor, Coop and the rest of the team are working on our new video series, “How To Bet”, launching this month.  Check back soon to see our progress at  www.TheLineBreakers.com, to see what we have posted.  As we said before, it will have three general areas that we will go into varying degrees of analysis.

Fantasy Sports Betting:  This would include Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and fantasy leagues, understood by most who are in yearly NFL leagues.

Traditional Sports Betting:  Focusing on the online options, we will walk you through the basics and all the way through advanced betting techniques and theories.

Casino Betting:  Virtually every Fantasy and Traditional sports betting sites have added casino games and vice versa.  This is why we are taking this three-pronged approach, so to speak.  You must have noticed that while you are on their sites, they will temp you to bet in the casino.  Many people who are new to betting; especially online bettors, have never set foot in a casino.  So here we will explain the basics of the most traditional games you will find in a physical casino.  When you don’t know the rules, two things will happen.  You will feel intimidated and you will lose money.  Especially if you are drinking the free booze they provide!  Trust me, been there, done that.

Fanduel has all the props you could want and as a Fanduel Affiliate we ask you to visit our site at www.thelinebreakers.com , look around our site and then click on the Fanduel link.  Join and take advantage of all the offers in fantasy sports betting.

Picks, Parlays and Props

Super Bowl 54 Preview

Losing Kobe and 8 others

This week began with the tragic news of the death of Kobe Bryant, way too young, along with his daughter and 7 others.   It is one of those terrible news reports that many will remember where they were and what they were doing forever.  Certainly, as someone who spends an inordinate amount of time on sports, my circle friends and business associates were all asking it the story was true.

So, Super Bowl 54 is upon us and there has been almost no change in the opening line of the Chiefs -1.5.  Some books now have -1. The over/under did climb 2 points and is now 54 and 54.5   So do your homework before you bet.  Since there just one game left many people, myself included, look for other betting options like parlays and proposition (prop) bets which the Super Bowl is famous for.  There are props on virtually any outcome both for the game itself and individual player’s performance.  You can even bet on outcome of the coin toss or the how long the singing of the national anthem will take.  Aside from the silly bets available we like to look for value and that is what our picks this weekend will reflect.

Game bets

Parlay bet

Prop bets

The game itself presents us with the classic matchup of a very strong defense versus an equally impressive offense.  Traditional wisdom says that the very good defense prevails.  The most often sited example of this is the Giants vs Bills victory in Super Bowl 25.  20-19 Giants won 20-19 after the famous “Wide right” miss by Scott Norwood of the Bills.  The betting line suggests that the odds makers believe it will be very close with a slight nod to the Chiefs.

Fanduel has all the props you could want and as a Fanduel Affiliate we ask you to visit our site at www.thelinebreakers.com , look at picks and then click on the Fanduel link.

TheLineBreakers picks are very reasonably priced.  Other sites charge $40, $50 or more for just one pick.  We give you a bunch of  picks for half that!  That’s right folks, half that.  We also give you the analysis for each pick, so you can evaluate what we are focusing on and make an informed decision.  By the way, we examine all the top handicappers and most of them are in the 55% range, at best.  We are documented well above 60% which puts us at the very top of all handicappers.  Many of those guys charge $30 to $50 per pick!

SEEING RED and “C’MON MAN”

Cheating Astros, Red Sox, firings. McGregor 40 second beat down of Tomato Can Cerrone and Chiefs/49ers Super Bowl

The Red I’m seeing is for the slap on the wrist MLB hands out for cheating on a grand scale, number one, including the Red Sox.  Second is the 40 second beat down of that tomato can by McGregor.  We all jumped on the late odds boost by MGM from minus 357 to plus 200 on McGregor.  (So, you went from risking $357 to win $100, to winning $200 for every $100 wagered!)  Actually, you could have bet both sides +200 v +250 for a great no lose hedge bet.  Nevertheless, Cowboy should change his name to Tomato Can.  40 seconds, “C’mon man.”

We had a great fantastic Championship Sunday with The Professor going 3-1 and The Mechanic going 4-0.  So, if you’re still not checking out our picks all I can say it “C’mon man.”  Even our free pick was a winner!  All you had to do was to go to www.thelinebreakers.com and you would have won for free. What are you waiting for?
There were no upsets here just, some startling results; mainly Henry being held to 69 yards and only 3 carries in second half and Jimmy G routing the Pack with just 6 completions as Mostert had a career day with 4 TD’s and 220 yards rushing on 29 carries.  Guy has been cut 5 or 6 times and just plain torches the Green Bay defense.
Obviously with only one game left we will add some prop bets, both game and individual.  Maybe even a parlay or two.  But I am now refocusing on Fantasy Baseball and Basketball with tons of action everynight.  Coop will talk about this and give some pointers.    To find out what, visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com  and get some free advice and sign up for FanDuel on our link.
With the incredible results our free picks have had, they should also have been labeled “Best Bet”.
Jeter 1 vote short of unanimous for Hall of Fame?  “C’mon man”. 396 of 397 votes.

Super Bowl 54                     9ers v. Chiefs   -1.5            53

Coaching carousel Jason Garrett to Giants with speculation that Jason Witten might follow.

Tom Brady hanging out with Mark Davis, fueling speculation of seeing him in a Raiders uniform…C’mon Man, that ain’t right.

Divisional Weekend, baseball sanctions and betting tips.

Linebreakers sports handicapping

The linebreakers are bringing you the NFL conference championship game talk. What we think of the matchups and where the lines stand. Not much football left to gamble on, we will be talking more about different sports. NHL, college basketball and nba is what we will fill this no footballless void with. Don’t forget to visit our website thelinebreakers.com this weekend and see who we take in the championship games.

     Run Derrick Run.

Divisional Weekend, baseball sanctions and betting tips.

The Titans pulled off another great upset, this time against the Ravens who had one 12 in a row to finish 14-2.  Derrick Henry rushed for 211 yards in week 17, then after posting 182 yards rushing against what was considered a very good defense in New England, he rambled for another 195 yards against the Ravens.  The Ravens were certainly aware that he was the Titans key to victory.  Didn’t matter.  He ran right over them.  Here at TheLinebreakers.com, we all had the Titans plus 9.5. So with only 3 games left we will pick all the games and all the over/unders as well.  So visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com and get our picks.

The Professor has been hot, going 7-2 over the past two weeks, so you should see who he likes this weekend.  Picks are still way under priced and if O’brien wasn’t an idiot, 8-1 was in the bank.  Blowing a 24 point lead in 2.5 minutes is tough to do.

LSU rolled and Burrow will go to Bengals as number one pick.

Two Conference Championships on Sunday are:

Titans at KC-7.552

Packers at 9ers -7.5       45

We will pick all of them and the over under in each game as well.  Our free pick is?  Come to the site to see free pick………………

Astros handed suspensions and $5 million fine and then owner fired the GM and the Manager.  Big whoop.  That’s nothing but it’s the biggest fine that currently can be imposed.

Red Sox fired Cora before investigation is done.   Mets should do the same with Beltran, but being the Mets, who always get it wrong, they won’t.  They should have hired Girardi and blew that.

I’ve mentioned a few times how fond I’ve become of live betting, something that is relatively new with the advent of online sports betting.  During the college championship I started out with an over 65.5 bet.  Soon the live bet was down to 60, so I added to my over bet.  Then as LSU started to catch up and pass Clemson it jumped to 78!  So naturally I bet an equal amount to my first to over bets on the under with a middle of 12.5 and 18.  That is a crazy large middle and only risking 5% of my total bet with the great likelihood of hitting all bets, which I did.  You couldn’t do this just a 18 months ago, unless you were in a casino.  It is fantastic and will only get better as 5G rolls out and the odds are posted faster and bets are processed faster.  The odds change quickly and I keep commenting that its like day trading stocks, only more fun cause your watching sports and not some talking head on the stock channel.

I’ve also been singing the praises of prop bets which also add a lot of excitement to a game and money to account.  All betting sites have them and they are a great way to add some fun to your betting experience as well as some money to your account.   Last night I took the Knicks who were down over 30 points and line was plus 28.  They lost by 26 and I covered my live bet.   So visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com for help finding out who is going to cover and make you some money.

We previously announced that we have added our very first Affiliate Partner and that it is FanDuel.  (Still offering Risk-Free Bet Up to $500).  Other sites offer initial deposit matches up to $1,000 and some $100-$200 just to sign up.  In fact, some sites are offering $1,000 bet protection.  We are in the process of adding our next Affiliate Partners so when you visit our site, we hope to have them there soon.  As we say each week, the explosion in sports betting sites has brought with it a huge number of enticements for you to join these sites.  In addition to sign-up bonuses, they offer bet insurance, odds boosts, parlay insurance and others.  So when you visit our site at www.thelinebreakers.com you will see a link to click on and sign up for your account on FanDuel.com.  FanDuel is one of the original sites and the easiest sites to navigate.  It also offers plenty bonuses, betting options and props.  Props and live in-game betting are a wonderful way to stay interested and make money; especially now that the fantasy leagues are over with the exception of some playoff fantasy games.  So, as the NFL winds down my interest is picking up in the NBA and Coop’s interest in hockey I believe.  We will now be making picks in those two sports as well since there are only 3 NFL games left.

Next up on the horizon for TheLineBreakers.com is a series of instructional videos to help the novice as well as some experienced betters with getting a better handle on how to make money and keep more of what you’ve won.  We will discuss sports bets and strategies and casino games as well since all of the sports betting sites are now connected to casinos and urge to visit those sites as well.

Wildcard Weekend and NFL and season review

Linebreakers sports handicapping

The linebreaker crew is back to start the new year right. Huge NFL weekend and we talk about a little incite for this weekends games. College football championship is this Monday and we tease a little about that game…hint hint, go tigers. We have a couple free picks this weekend if you go to our website www.thelinebreakers.com this Friday afternoon. We talk a little about what we will be doing after football season ends. Lets have a great weekend!!

NFL and season review

We had a great wildcard weekend with most of our picks covering the spread and  with both number 6 seeds knocking off the favorites on the road and sending to Hall of Fame QBs home unhappy.  Many, including myself, were delighted to see the Pats lose; especially with Brady throwing a pick six in what might be his last game as a Patriot.  But more surprising to me was the Vikings beating the Saints in New Orleans.  That was my only loss last weekend and it cost me dearly.  What was most surprising was the fact that the final play clearly involved offensive pass interference and it wasn’t called even after review.  Ironic considering the new rule was implemented in response to last year’s non-call which also knocked the Saints out of the Super Bowl.(Which they would have won)  So the Saints have now lost three straight times in the playoffs…. on a miracle reception and two bad non-calls. And twice to the Vikes.  Saints fans must be livid.

As we said weeks ago, the top of the ATS stats full of playoff teams and the bottoms is almost exclusively the dregs of the league.  It seems to obvious, but its true, stay away from the crappy teams because they don’t cover.  Look at the ATS records and see where you should be putting your money.  Or better yet, visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com and get our picks.

Four playoff games are:   Sat  Vikings at 9ers  -7 44.5

Sat  Titans at Ravens  -9.5 46.5

Sun  Texans at Chiefs   -9.5 51.0

Sun  Seahawks at Pakcers   -4      47.0

We will pick all of them and the over under in each game as well.  Our free pick is……………………………..  Come to the site to see free pick…………..

Coaching carousel……………………Giants fumble again……. What else is new.  Now paying three coaches at same time.  Becoming as dysfunctional as Jets.

And I saw a picture of Brady in a Raiders uniform……  The Professor made that comment the other night and I gagged then too……………  What a nightmare that would be for me and Raider Nation as a whole………………

Tua declares for draft.  Tago-vai-loa.  Where does he go?

We previously announced that we have added our very first Affiliate Partner and that it is FanDuel.  (Still offering Risk-Free Bet Up to $500).  Other sites offer initial deposit matches or $100 just to sign up.  In fact, some sites are offering $1,000 bet protection.  We are in the process of adding our next Affiliate Partners so when you visit our site, we hope to have them there soon.  As we say each week, the explosion in sports betting sites has brought with it a huge number of enticements for you to join these site. Props and live in game betting are a wonderful way to stay interested and make money; especially now that the fantasy leagues are over with the exception of some playoff fantasy games.  So as the NFL winds down my interest is picking up in the NBA and Coop’s interest in hockey I believe.  We will now be making picks in those two sports as well since there are only 7 NFL games left.    Props are a great way to add some fun to your betting experience as well as some money to your account.   I’m 4-0 on NBA this week, so visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com for help finding out who is going to cover and make you some money.

The college championship line is LSU favored now by 6.0 after being 5.5 for over a week.  I’m picking the Tigers, HaHa.  But seriously, come see who we pick to cover and also our over/under pick.

COOP TALKS NBA and NHL  Go to www.TheLineBreakers.com,  you’ll see who he likes in championship and NHL.

     Week 15 NFL review.

Linebreakers sports handicapping

The linebreaker crew is back and talking ATS. We look at the how the trends have played out throughout the year. Maybe we have a free Saturday pick this weekend. College football Bowl season is upon us. 40 bowl games coming your way and we talk about a few of them and a couple interesting trends that you might want to know. Visit thelinebreakers.com and see who we are taking this week.

       Playoff teams beat the spread.

I was reviewing the ATS statistics and what jumped off the page was the fact that at the top of the list were all playoff teams and at the bottom are teams that are already eliminated.  Many people might not think that is significant, but trust me, it is.  That means that the better teams are not only winning but consistently beating the odds makers predictions of what number should bring equal action.

Of the 12 teams that are above 55% ATS, only two are not in the playoff picture.  That means that for the vast majority, the better teams are covering the spread and conversely, the lousy teams aren’t.  The five teams at the bottom of the ATS are all eliminated from the playoffs.  So stay away from the crappy teams because they don’t cover.  Look at the ATS records and see where you should be putting your money.  Or better yet, visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com and get our picks.

Last week I didn’t see the classic trap game in the Falcons v. the 9ers.  Coming off a great win at the Saints, they then lost to Falcons who are playing basically for Quinn’s job as they beat San Fran with a 19 point fourth quarter.  SMH on that one.  And the Raiders losing their final home game in Oakland by getting shut out 17-0 in second half has me still shaking my head as well, in addition to plenty of cursing.

The playoff picture is shaping up as is the draft order.  Lots of really interesting matchups and a bunch of duds too.  Time to be very careful about betting on teams with players already loading their golfs clubs in the car.  And the Jags were called out by the Players’ Association as somewhere not to sign as a player!  Holy reverse collusion Batman.  They had more player complaints filed against them than the entire rest of the league.

       PATRIOTS CAUGHT CHEATING AGAIN!

                 IS ANYONE SURPRISED?

I had already written the introduction to this week’s podcast in which I was going to do something I’ve never done before… I was going to say that the Pats were robbed by the refs in their loss to the Chiefs.  But then the news of the Patriots getting caught cheating again hit.  Now I’m glad they lost and the should lose a lot more than a game. The fact that they are still being allowed to bring film crews into an opponent’s stadium is beyond belief.  Add to that the fact that the Browns failed to warn the Bengals nor did they notify the NFL beforehand as required and it’s once again a violation deserving huge penalties by the league.

The Giants lost on Monday Night Football and have now set a new record of futility, losing 9 in a row and now sporting a 2-9 record.  Firing coaches every other year isn’t ever a really good way to improve, but Shurmur is clueless and should go at the end of the year.  Mike McCarthy is looking to return to the NFL and I’d love to see the Giants grab him, which is what he Jets should have done last year.

Jameis Winston had 4 TD’s, but yet again he threw 3 INT’s, which means he might lead the league in both at the end of the year.

Thursday’s free pick with Jets going to Ravens is tough due to the injury to Lamar Jackson.  Although he’s still listed as questionable, it is probable he will play but with much less running.  And if they get a sizeable lead, he’ll get pulled early.  So, we think that taking the Jets and the 14.5 or 15 points is the play.

The playoff picture is shaping up as is the draft order.

We have added our very first Affiliate Partner and it is no surprise that it is FanDuel.  We will be adding additional affiliate partners in the near future as we evaluate who we recommend.  So when you visit our site at www.thelinebreakers.com you will see a link to click on and sign up for your account on www.FanDuel.com.   A we go forward we will continue to add links to the betting sites we personally have used and can recommend to help you avoid those we haven’t had a good experience with.  These evaluations are based on various factors which we will explain each time we add a site.  FanDuel is one of the original sites and the easiest sites to navigate.  It also offers plenty bonuses, betting options and props.  Add to that he many odds boosts if offers and this is one our favorite betting sites.  As we’ve said before, there are new sites popping up each week and they vary greatly in their ratings.   So visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com for help making the right picks and choosing the best betting sites.

ATS update.  There are still only 10 teams that are above 55% ATS which we stated is where you need to be too.  The Eagles and the Bears are now tied for last place at 4-9 ATS which is 30%.    Look at the ATS records and see where you should be putting your money.  Or better yet, visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com and get our picks.

Week 13 NFL review

Linebreakers sports handicapping

The crew is back talking week 13 recap and what happened over the thanksgiving day games. We give out a freebie for week 14, LISTEN to see who we take!!! We have been hot over the past 3 weeks in NFL/college. The professor has been 12-3 in NFL and coop has been 12-7 in college over the past 4 weeks. Go to www.thelinebreakers.com and see who we take for all the college championship games and week 14 for the NFL!!!

TURKEYS AND RECORD BREAKING LOSERS

We we’ve seen a lot of football since we last got together after taking a break for Thanksgiving and much of it has been surprisingly bad, thus the title of Turkeys and Record Breaking Losers.   My Raiders have been embarrassed two weeks in a row, losing by 31 both times, including a drubbing by the Jets of all teams.  Those very same Jets who just set a record for futility that has not been witnessed in the NFL’s 100 year history!  They’ve set a new benchmark for sucking by losing to two teams that started the year at 0-7 in the same season.  And in the case of the Bengals….. those bums were 0-11 until the Jets came in and scored only 6 points, against what was considered the worst team in the NFL.

I say “was” because that title might now belong to the Giants who lost for the eighth straight time and might break a team record by losing their ninth straight Monday night at the Eagles.  I predicited Jones would continue his barrage of turnovers and he didn’t disappoint, this time with three INTs.  Eli Manning is probably back at QB with Daniel Jones injured, so watch out.

Months ago, I expressed my frustration with these two disasters (Jets and Giants) by stating that I’m refusing to bet on either of them again.  That is not to say that I won’t bet against them, which I have been doing and certainly will again.  They are both well below 50% ATS and will probably continue to suck overall and ATS.  Both coaches should be fired, along with another 7 coaches who are in the hotseat.  Ron Rivera was fired on Tuesday and many more will follow at the end of the season or sooner.

The Patriots again showing some signs that offense is not that good scoring only 13 to beat Cowboys and then only 22 in loss to the Texans.  The Ravens are now being touted by most as the best in AFC and perhaps the whole NFL after beating the resurgent 9ers last week.  The Seahawks win over the Vikings was a great game and I took advantage of in-game betting to place a total of 7 bets on the game, winning 6 of them.  Live betting is still better than sliced bread as I’ve said before.  It’s like day trading only more fun.

As the playoff picture starts to come into focus, its easy to make the mistake of betting against teams that are on the outside looking in.  Quite often those teams take pride in playing the role of spoiler; especially against a division rival or a team that recently knocked them out of the playoffs.  As it becomes clear which head coaches are toast, watch out for those teams to give up.  And as the weather gets nasty, keep that in mind.  Cowboys v. Pats was perfect example of an Under lock.

A bunch of interesting matchups this weekend: Bills/Ravens, 9ers/Saints, Chiefs/Pats, Hawks/Rams to name a few.  I guarantee we will be picking these games as well as a bunch of others, so go to www.TheLineBreakers.com and see who we like.  The site is being updated and you’ll soon be able to get picks from your favorite LineBreaker.

We are still evaluating which sites we want to recommend and this information should be posted within the next week.  Come back and check to see who we have chosen and the links will be on TheLineBreakers.com site for your ease of signing up.  These evaluations are based on various factors such as sign up bonuses, ease of navigation and promotions.  As we’ve said before, there are new sites popping up each week and they vary greatly in their ratings.   So visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com for help making the right picks.

ATS update.  There are now 12 teams that are above 55% ATS which we maintain is where you need to be too.  The Bears now hold last place with a dismal record of 3-9 ATS.  The Chargers are next worse at 3-7-2 ATS.  Look at the ATS records and see where you should be putting your money.  Or better yet, visit us at www.TheLineBreakers.com and get our picks.

11/29-12/2 Plays

Coop’s Plays

Georgia tech +28 vs Georgia

This game is always one of those games that is just different. Rivalry game. A game that fans of both teams can have bragging rights over. A lot of the Bulldog fans call tech their younger brother. This younger brother monger not won’t his week but they will win you this bet with the points.

Appalachian State -12.5 vs Troy

In the well known tale when Troy is tricked by the Trojan horse, we see another big loss to Troy again. App State is having a great year and this is just a nice little bow on top of everything. They will cover this game and win you this bet.

Penn State vs Rutgers over 50

Penn State has had a couple of bad weeks but they play against Rutgers who are one of the worst teams in the nation. Wouldn’t be surprised in penn state put up all 50.

Oklahoma vs Oklahoma State over 69.5

Both of these teams average more than 35 points per game. This game will be a shoot out and will get over this total.

Minnesota -2.5 vs Wisconsin

Bit game in the Big Ten this weekend. Minnesota is trying to cap off a historical year with a big win. This is a huge bragging rights game too

and both teams will be ready to play. This will be a close game throughout but Minnesota will come out with a 3 point win!!!

The Professor’s College Picks 11/30/19

Oklahoma -13.5 vs. Oklahoma State

This is one of those rivalry games for bragging rights in the state. It’s called the Bedlam Series and Oklahoma has won 16 of the last 20 including the last four. Oklahoma is playing for a spot on the playoff selection and has had some trouble with opposing mobile quarterbacks. Oklahoma State’s quarterback is not that mobile so Oklahoma will win this matchup. Take give the points and go with Oklahoma.

LSU -16.5 vs. Texas A&M

Remember last year when Texas A&M beat LSU 74-72 through 7 overtime periods? Well LSU remembers and they will look to put a beat down on Texas A&M at home tomorrow. LSU has an unbeaten record and they have their reservation ticket for the championship game already. Take LSU -16.5 for them to continue their streak against Oklahoma State.

Alabama -3.5 vs. Auburn

A great rivalry will continue at the Iron Bowl. Mac Jones is stepping in for Tua Tagovailoa to face the Auburn Tiger’s defense and quarterback Bo Nix. Alabama is in a must win situation if it plans to be in the playoff selection this year. It comes down to Alabama’s offensive line vs. the tough Auburn front four. If the offensive line can give Mac Jones the time to throw then Auburn is in for a long day. Take Alabama -3.5 for the win.

Duke +9.5 vs. Miami Hurricanes

The game will be played in Durham. Both teams came off horrible losses last week. The rivalry favors Miami over the last 16 meetings

with Miami winning 13 of the 16 games. Miami will most likely win this game but NOT by 9.5 points. TAKE the Duke Blue Devils +9.5.

Stanford (+16.5) vs. Notre Dame

ND has won 5 straight times in the series. They are 2-2 on the road while Stanford is 3-3 at home. Stanford is 86-33 under coach David Shaw and 17-0 in non-conference games. Notre Dame will win the game but Stanford will cover. Take Stanford (+16.5).

The Professor’s NFL Picks

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Miami Dolphins (under 44.5)

The Eagles are in a game that can help them take control of their destiny in the NFC East by tying them with the Cowboys for the lead in the division. The Dolphins look like they continue to have a Kung-Fu grip on last place in the NFL and the number one draft pick. The eagles have come off tow back to back losses at home and are looking to take this opportunity to fly next to the Cowboys. The eagles have kept their opponents to 17 points or less in the last four games and there should be no change here with the Dolphins. The Eagles should win this game and the best bet is taking the under 44.5 points for the game.

Los Angeles Rams (-2.5) vs. Arizona Cardinals

This is the battle of the NFC West bottom dwellers. The Arizona Cardinals are coming off a bye week and many expect them to come out strong against the Rams. Los Angeles is coming off and embarrassing beat down by the Baltimore ravens and many expect the Rams to come back strong with a win after that public humiliation. The Cardinals have one of the worst defenses in the NFL with a really bad pass defense. The Rams have two good wide receivers. It’s up to Jared Goff and Kyle Murray to make things happen. Take the Rams (-2.5).

Indianapolis Colts (-2.5) vs. Tennessee Titans

All indicators are showing that the pundits believe the Titans will come out on top for these games. They are evenly matched. But something

tells me the Colts will pull this out. Better quarterback to start off. Take the Colts (-2.5)

Cleveland Browns (-1.5) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Again most of the pundits are taking Pittsburgh to win as revenge for the game three weeks ago where the embarrassing fight broke out at the end of the game. The Browns have not swept the Steelers in a long time it’s time it might happen. Take the Browns (-2).

Giants vs. Green Bay (over 41)

The Giants are a hapless team that is trying hard to find a way to win. That won’t happen here unless Rodgers has a cardiac arrest in the first minute of the game. Look for Rodgers to have a prolific day against the Giants. Jones and Saquon will score points against Packers defense but not enough to win. Safe bet is to take the over (over 41).

The Mechanic’s Plays

Packers -6 v. Giants

After an astonishingly bad performance against the 9ers last week, look for the Pack to “get healthy” against a terribly coached and weak Giants team. Aside from poor coaching, Shurmur continues to make numerous wrong in-game decisions every week. He’s in way over his head and costing his team chances to win. The Giants for the first time in their 95 year history failed to win a single game in the months of October and November. After his worst performance in memory, I look for Rodgers to bounce back and take advantage of a weak NY defense and get back in the playoff hunt. Giants QB will probably continue to both fumble and throw picks as he’s done all year. Giants no longer have a home field advantage and no one’s afraid of the Meadowlands anymore as they once were. Lay the 6 and watch a rout.

Panthers -10 v. Skins

I still don’t know how Skins beat the Lions last week, but I don’t see them putting up two good efforts in a row; they are just too lousy to pull that off. The Panthers are somewhat of a mystery at 5-6, they sometimes look really good and other times don’t show up. But that can be said for almost every team not at the top and a few that are (Saints). After losing a heartbreaker at those Saints last week, I see the Panthers get back in the win column against the second worst team in the league. Carolina has beaten some quality teams and should have won last week in New Orleans. That says a lot and although the number is largest for the week, I think they bury Washington.

49ers v. Ravens Over 46

In what is being dubbed the Super Bowl 54 version 1.0, I see plenty of offense by both teams and doubt that absent a miracle, the 9ers figure out a way to
bottle up Lamar Jackson the whole game. Both teams have the big play and can score from anywhere on the field at any time. I’m not sure Bosa can catch Jackson so the 9ers might be playing catch up and air it out, resulting in a very high scoring affair.

Bucs -1 v. Jaguars

If Jameis Winston can limit the INT’s as he did last week, the Bucs can handle the Jags easily. The Bucs have shown the ability to put a lot of points on the board all year long with very talented receivers who are often putting up a ton of points. These guys are fantastic players and with a more consistent QB the team would be at the top. The Jags have been a dumpster fire of late, getting hammered in their last three outings. I look for that trend to continue as the Bucs put a nail in the Jags coffin sending them to 4-8.

Bucs v. Jags Over 47.5

For the same reasons stated above, I like the over in this game. I think the Bucs will score well into the 30’s or more so the Jags need only to put up a score in the mid-teens to hit the over. Even though I see the Bucs winning easily, they tend to give up a lot too. So the over it is, and maybe even a single game parlay.
